Over the past month we have seen a number of our Members achieve amazing results, winning national and regional awards that shine the spotlight firmly on to the Cornish food and drink industry. Entering awards can be a lengthy and involved process and the decision to enter can sometimes feel like you are being asked to climb Mount Everest. However, the reward for entering, is the chance to review your business with some objectivity, something that we often just don't get a chance to do in our hectic lives, but if shortlisted, the opportunity to gain some valuable PR and industry recognition.

The benefits far outweigh the fear of form filling. Many award schemes have taken on feedback over the years and have minimised the process, to try and make it as easy and simple to enter, without losing the need for detail, authenticity and integrity. To be shortlisted is a great accolade, if you are given the chance to go to the awards ceremony, seize the moment. It not only allows you to be in a room full of like-minded people, but it also gives you and your business the confidence to stand up and be recognised for all the hard work you do. Use social media to your advantage, tell your customers about your successes and if you win, shout it from the rooftops - people love to engage, congratulate and be a part of your success.

Here are just a few recent Award successes for some of our Members:
