Lemonade fit for a Queen and Duchess of Cornwall!
On Sunday 3rd June Cornish Orchards lemonade took to the River Thames as it was served as a non-alcoholic fruity refreshment for the Queen and her entourage during the Royal party on board the Royal Barge, Spirit of Chartwell, as it traveled down the Thames leading the historic flotilla to celebrate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations on Sunday.
“On the Friday before the Queen’s Jubilee we had a phone call from Taurus Wines, one of our quality distributors, asking us if we would like some good news – our new product, a traditional lemonade, had been selected to be enjoyed by the Queen! We are delighted and used it as a great talking point on our stand at the Royal Cornwall Show last week’, said Lucy Craven, Marketin
g Manager at Cornish Orchards.
Cornish Orchards also had a stand in the Food and Farming marquee at the Royal Cornwall Show, where their lemonade had yet another Royal encounter – it was added to Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall’s, food hamper.
The lemonad
e is hand crafted a
t Westnorth Manor Farm, in Duloe, using freshly pressed Sicilian lemon juice and Cornish spring water along with the blend of a secret ingredient – Cornish Orchards freshly pressed apple juice. This is a true twist to an English country classic.
Previously, Cornish Orchards soft drinks have included freshly pressed apple juice and an elderflower presse with a hint of lemon, which serve as a refreshing summer drink or a great alternative to alcohol.
This Cornwall based cider and soft drink producer is dedicated to environmental matters and has taken measures such as creating a water based apple handling bay, a reed bed to dispose of waste water and insulated buildings to reduce its carbon footprint.
The ‘Royal’ lemonade is available for both consumer and wholesale purchase. Please get in touch with Cornish Orchards for more information – details can be found on their website.
